We recently reported about Robert “Crotale” Kihlberg’s amazing 6 GHz CPU overclock in front of 6000 fellow enthusiasts, at the world’s biggest computer festival, DreamHack, in Sweden. To achieve this quite astonishing overclock, Robert was using an ABIT AW8-MAX to crank up his Pentium 4 660 (rated at 3.6 GHz) to an insanely high frequency of 6009 MHz.
Now this crazy Sweden has done it again! Hardware enthusiast website NordicHardware.com recently concluded The Swedish Performance Championship 2005, and as it turned out, nobody could even touch Robert in the finals. Robert was the uncontested winner in the “Percentual Overclocking” category, and to achieve this, he managed to run an old Intel Celeron-M (rated at 1400 MHz) at a frequency of 4243 MHz!
